Razor AMG UH-1 is Vortex’s first holographic red dot sight. Because there is hardly any competition in this class at the moment (the only manufacturers of such technology are EOTech and Vortex), we are absolutely positive that Vortex Razor AMG UH-1 will be sold in great numbers.
The most enticing feature is the holographic technology with a red dot. The big window allows the user to aim with both eyes open. The product is of high quality, very robust and durable.
Vortex Razor AMG UH-1 is comprised of a big, robust housing and a huge window. The housing is also well-made in terms of aesthetics. Looking through the window of the Vortex UH-1 holographic red dot sight is a great experience – there is no distortion or optical errors, and the red dot can be clearly seen in the distance. There is some yellow tint but that doesn’t impair the optical experience. Since its window is very large, the red dot sight is excellent for fast shooting and chaotic situations. The user can still aim successfully even when the eye is not in the most optimal position. There is also no parallax error on any distance. The less pleasant characteristic is the definition of the red dot which is somewhat less apparent than in conventional reflex red dot sights (EOTech’s holographic red dot sight shares the same problem). Furthermore, some individuals might find the housing too large.
It is clear that Vortex has come up with an excellent product. They made a brave move by following EOTech’s footsteps in presenting something new to the public. Without a shadow of a doubt, this product is going to be sold like hotcakes – it is even going to come at a lesser price than EOTech’s holographic red dot sight.
