Swarovski is a company that manufactures optical instruments of the best precision in the premium section of the market. One of the reasons why their new products are so highly anticipated among optics enthusiasts is that Swarovski never fails to amaze its target audience. Their unique aesthetics combined with top-notch optical components are sure to deliver once more. This time, an update has been made to the CL family, which was first launched in 2011 and soon became one of Swarovski’s most popular series of products. On November 6th, the new, upgraded CL Companion was launched. With it, Swarovski is determined to set new boundaries in the premium compact binoculars category.
Swarovski chose Companion’s name for a reason – wherever you go, be it hiking, kayaking, walking through a nature reserve or enjoying beautiful views from a scenic viewpoint, you will want to take these compact and lightweight binoculars with you. As is typical for Swarovski, the image is said to be razor-sharp and high in contrast. The solid magnesium housing is durable and robust. What also shows that these binoculars are from the premium class is their amazing field of view – 132 m.
Both of these models are available in two colours: green and anthracite.
Swarovski‘s products are inspired by nature and that is also reflected in the accessory package that comes with CL Companion. The buyer is provided with a fashionable yet practical field bag with carrying strap and binocular strap, designed to grant optimal protection. There are three designs to choose from: Northern lights, Urban jungle and Wild nature. The buyer chooses one of these based on his or her personal style. The designs can be seen in the images below. The brand-new Swarovski CL Companion can also be connected to a Swarovski Optik phone adapter which makes it easy for the user to capture and share memorable moments with others.
We at Optics-trade are sure that CL Companion will live up to its reputation. Much is expected of compact binoculars in this price class – for a CL Companion, the buyer will have to pay 1100–1200 EUR, tax incl. For now, we can only make assumptions; more information will be available as soon as we put the brand-new CL Companion to the test.
