In mid-2020, Swarovski astounded binoculars enthusiasts with NL Pure, an optical masterpiece. They set a new milestone in the field of premium optics with three 42-mm objective lens models: 8×42, 10×42, and 12×42. It appears that they aren’t keen on calling it a day yet; we’ve been informed that in May 2021, the NL Pure family is about to get bigger.
NL Pure in the compact form
Swarovski has announced a release of two new NL Pure models: 8×32 and 10×32. These are sure to attact attention of professional birdwatchers, mountain hunters and avid hikers who do not settle for mediocrity.
The 8×32 and 10×32 deliver great image clarity and sharpness just like their bigger brothers. The SWAROVISION technology guarantees an immediate wow factor once the user takes a look through the tubes. The field of view is almost as wide as with the 42mm objective lens models – 8×32 provides 150 m of FOV at 1000 m while the 10×32 grants 132 m of FOV at 1000 m.
The expansion of Swarovski’s flagship binoculars series will undobtedly encourage the competition to present something new in this field which we are looking forward to.
Are these compatible with the forehead rest?
Yes, the compact NL Pure models are compatible with the forehead rest. You can use the same forehead rest that goes on the full-size NL Pure models. Even though the 8×32 and 10×32 are light (640 grams) and simple to stabilize, the additional point of contact noticeably improves the viewing comfort. You will notice that especially while using the 10x magnification model.
The full-size models are still only been available in Swarovski’s signature green. The compact models are available in two colours – green and orange. They call their version of orange ‘Burnt Orange’ which describes it perfectly. We are fond of the new colour option and hope that Swarovski will eventually offer it for the full-size models as well.
As befits premium binoculars, the 8×32 and 10×32 NL Pure models are supplied with high-quality accessories. By storing them in the new FSB Functional Sidebag you will always have them at hand. Mounting the universal comfort strap is easy thanks to Swarovski’s innovative strap attachment system. The buyer also gets the eyepiece and objective covers, soap & brush kit, a microfiber cloth, a strap loop connector, and a cover for steel rings.
The binoculars are covered with a 10-year warranty period.
The forehead rest is not included in the box. It is available as an extra for 129 €.
These premium binoculars will hit the market in May 2021. The 8×32 and 10×32 models will be available for 2390 € and 2440 €, respectively (the price is the same for both colours).
