Steiner, an established company in the field of binoculars and other sports optics, again didn’t fail to impress at this year’s Shot Show and introduced two new series of binoculars with some innovative features.
BluHorizons are world’s first sunlight adaptive binoculars, with a new, Steiner exclusive, lens technology called Autobright. This innovative feature automatically adapts the brightness no matter the light conditions. Said technology should reduce the glare and the light bouncing off water or snow. Two models available – 8×22 and 10×26 – are small and compact, perfect to carry around in your pocket or purse. The binoculars are rugged, waterproof and sealed.
“Nothing unseen, nothing escapes” is a motto of the new Predator AF series of binoculars. The open bridge design makes the binoculars comfortable to hold, which is especially convenient when scouting. Steiner special CAT lens coatings (Color Adjusted Transmission) let you see the animals more clearly when they are hiding behind foliage or in the shade. Even though these have Porro prisms inside, they are compact and lightweight, making them a perfect hunting companion. There are two models available, a smaller 8×30 and a 10×42 for more demanding hunts. AF in the name stands for Auto Focus, which allows you to focus each eyepiece only once and later observe the surroundings without needing to readjust the focus.
