Steiner Ranger 4 4-16×56

Ranger 4 scopes

Steiner Ranger 4 4-16×56 joins a well-revered lineup. Since the first model launch in 2015, Steiner Ranger 4 riflescopes have a top spot on the market. Reliable mechanics, improved light transmission, and wider FOV are just some of the key factors that made the Ranger 4 series so popular. In the price class of €1000+, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better hunting scope.

The newest 4-16×56 configuration brings together the best features of the two already established Ranger 4 models; namely the low-light specialist Steiner Ranger 4 3-12×56 and the long-range model Steiner Ranger 4 6-24×56.

Rugged build with fine adjustments

  • 30mm aluminum chassis
  • scratch-resistant hard-anodized finish
  • hard recoil
  • Nitrogen-charged, waterproof up to 1m
  • adjustable parallax

Hard anodized varnish that encases the 30-millimeter tube in a silky matt finish also offers resistance to scratches and bumps. But don’t let the sleek elegance of Ranger 4 models fool you. Steiner’s military-approved scope construction can withstand the strongest recoils up to 500 g.

Thanks to the aluminum chassis, this 4-16×56 model weighs only 680 grams. Performance-driven mechanics of Ranger 4 scopes won’t fail even in the most adverse weather conditions, as Steiner guarantees 100% reliability from -26 °C to +63 °C.

Turrets move one centimeter per click, perfect for ultra-precise shots on extended ranges. Crisp, audible turret dials, and ridged power ring will make no-look corrections in the dark a cakewalk.

Apart from the 6-24×56 model, this is the only Ranger 4 in the series to feature an adjustable parallax (50m to infinity). Paired with powerful 4-16x magnification, you’ll be able to spot deer and chamois over 100 meters away.

High-res details in sharp contrast

  • edge-to-edge sharpness
  • XL field of view
  • 90%+ light transmission rate
  • illuminated 4AI reticle

True to Steiner’s standard of production, this scope provides sharp views in true-to-life colors. The optical brilliance rivals the Conquest V4 models. In truth, Zeiss remains the only manufacturer that can apply pressure on Steiner in this market corner.

Multi-coated 56mm lens maximizes enviromental light, giving you bright image longer. The light transmission rate was improved in spring 2021, when Steiner introduced the second generation of Ranger 4 models.

Steiner Ranger 4 4-16×56 has no tunnel effect. Edge-to-edge sharpness is another point of pride for the manufacturer.

The 2nd focal plane reticle is available in 4A-I design and has 11 illumination intensity settings (5x day, 6x night).

Steiner remodeled the classic German 4 reticle – thinning out the lines and adding a super-fine dot in the middle. While illumination is not a crucial feature for long-range shooting, it’s a definite must for hunters who stalk game at dusk. Steiner Ranger 4 4-16×56 aims to satisfy both target audiences.

Accessories in the box

Steiner Ranger 4 models come with only a few accessories.
