Red dot sights made by Holosun are a great choice for those who are looking for a quality, affordable red dot sight. Even though these devices are made in China, they perform well and even better than some more expensive red dot sights on the market. Holosun uses special symbols (letters) to indicate the function of the device. Because the meaning of these symbols is scarcely explained anywhere on the web, we have decided to list all their symbols and their meanings here to help the users and potential buyers.

  • Hi folks. I purchased the HE507C-GR ACSS and can’t wait to use it. In looking through the reticle obviously the incerted V will move around in the “window”. My question is, no matter where the V is, is that the impact location of the bullet? (assuming it is sighted in). So, for quick acquisition on a target does it matter where the V is if it’s on the target?

    • Yes, it doesn’t matter where you see the dot (or the V mark, in this case) when looking through the lens; you will hit the target as long as the reticle is aligned with it. The device has to be zeroed, of course. For quick target acquisition, it does not matter where the ‘V’ is as long as it is on target.
