HS530C is similar to its predecessors but has a housing in the style of Trijicon MRO. It comes with two mounts (high and low) and flip-up covers to protect the lenses. Killflash filter helps eliminate unwanted reflections from the objective lens. HS530C’s QD mount enables the user to quickly remove the product from the rifle without using tools. Its objective lens is bigger than its ocular lens.
HS530C is made entirely of titanium which makes it lightweight and robust at the same time. This is truly a unique characteristic since it renders the product almost indestructible. It is protected against continual water submersion (IPX8 certified). HS530C has standard commands for setting the intensity and is equipped with a new edition of turrets with 0.5 MOA per click (15 mm at a distance of 100 m). Its truly outstanding feature is Shake Awake, which puts the optic to “sleep mode” when it is not used. The solar cell on the top allows it to go in Solar mode in which the LED reticle is powered by the solar cell but can still draw power from the battery if lighting is inadequate. In Solar mode, reticle intensity is adjusted automatically. It has a tray for the battery.
The aesthetic qualities of HS530C are superb, and the finish is excellent in relation to the price range. The Shake Awake function’s performance is marvellous – the product automatically powers on without delay as soon as it detects movement. Image distortion is no longer present on the edges, and the overall optical quality is even better than in the series preceding this one. The one thing that we dislike is the battery tray which is somewhat difficult to remove.
