Similar to its predecessor HS515C, HS515CM is equipped with a Killflash filter that helps eliminate unwanted reflections from the objective lens. QD mount allows it to be quickly and simply detached from the rifle. Clear glass flip-up caps protect the lenses from abrasion.
HS515CM’s housing is made of aluminium with a hard anodized finish. On it, there are turrets with 0.5 MOA per click. It is durable, protected from water submersion (IPX8 certified) and enhanced with an improved Shake Awake function. Equipped with a solar cell, it draws energy from light, but it can still draw power from the battery at the same time if the light is insufficient. While in Solar mode, the reticle intensity adjusts automatically. Windage and elevation turrets are shrouded and thus no longer exposed to potential blows.
The exterior is similar to that of its predecessor HS515C with the exception of no longer having exposed windage and elevation turrets (they are shrouded). The Shake Awake function works incredibly well – at the slightest movement, the optic will switch from “sleep mode” to “active mode” in a split second. When it is inactive, it will go back to “sleep mode” to prevent unnecessary battery drain.
