The Dipol DTM1000R thermal monocular is a hand-held device with an integrated laser rangefinder. It has a sensor resolution of 384 x 288 pixels, and the pixel pitch is 17 micrometers. With this sensor, the device can detect human-size objects all the way to 1000 meters. The optical zoom of the device is 2.3x and the digital zoom is 2x and 4x.

The display is of an OLED type with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, and it features a 50 Hz frame rate. With such a fast frame rate, the image is smooth, even if you observe a moving animal. The field of view of the device is 16.3 x 12.1 meters. The DTM1000R features an adjustable diopter from –4 to 4.

The image can be displayed in 7 different color pallets and the invert color can be chosen between two modes – black hot and white hot. The laser rangefinder can measure targets up to 700 meters, and the battery lasts for up to 2.5 hours of continuous use. The batteries used are 2x CR123. The sensor sensitivity can be adjusted manually, and it features an automatic display-off feature – when you remove the device away from your eyes it will help save the battery life.

The DTM1000R has a video-recording and a video stream feature with 32 Gb of internal storage. It can also be connected via Wi-Fi to a smartphone and other devices. The user can change the menu from multiple languages.
